Today is a lovely day in Maridoo. The sun is up in the sky with the fluffy clouds in the air and the trees are tall and fun to climb. But not for long…
Raina woke up in her nice twin bed with her blanket so soft made out of alpaca fur and dyed blue as the sky.
As she started to get out of her bed she remembered her grandmother promised to tell the story to the children today. Excitedly she jumped out of her bed and tripped on a wooden toy train and fell flat on her chin. Puzzled she looked at the train while attempting to balance herself up. She doesn’t recognize it at all. So she decided to bring the toy downstairs to show her dad.
and asked if he put it in her bedroom and nodded back no. She wondered who left it in her bedroom. She went back in her bedroom and got dressed that morning she wore a peach coloured t-shirt and jean textured shorts and some black converse rubber shoes and put her brown wavy hair in a ponytail and on the ponytail a pink lily. She ran back downstairs and hugged her mom and dad and went out the door. She ran to the tent where her grandmother talked to the children and entered in the tent and looked at her grandmother and said “ready to tell the story” so all the children jumped around and said yay.
So her grandmother started speaking and telling the children the story of Maridoo “Once there was a town called Maridoo the villagers loved their little village but it was cold everyday cause of the mountains they lived nearby but one day it started to get hotter and hotter each and every day the people started to worry why it became hot all of a sudden the town chief made an announcement “ All people of Maridoo we have a massive problem the mountains of Maridoo are melting but we have done some research and we got some information that it won't melt fully for thousands of years but we will get ready whenever it will happen” and so they built a wall covering the mountains of Maridoo so no one will ever see the mountains” Raina looked at the children and saw them hugging each other and some closing their eyes and one peed their pants. Raina looked at her grandmother giving her a awful grin after she sent the children off she went to Raina and put her arm around her shoulder and her hand to her collarbone and took her to a corner in the tent and whispered in an angry voice “told you they were even worse than you when i told you that story” Raina took off her grandmother’s arm of her shoulder and said “i'm sorry i thought they were old enough that they could handle it” As Raina move to the opening the town rumbled then stop for a moment as when Raina and her grandmother ran to each other and hugged wondering what could have made the town rumble could it be the mountains of Maridoo.
